Southampton City Council, in partnership with Bluestar, will be reducing the cost of the Southampton Weekend Park & Ride to just £3 for sustainable, affordable travel for the whole family or friends (up to 5 people). The offer price will come into effect from Saturday 15 November and will run until Sunday 4 January.

By reducing the cost of the Park & Ride to £3 our aim is to improve the affordability of visiting the city centre at this time of the year when there are so many other calls upon family budgets. At the same time, we will make it an easier choice to travel sustainably to the Christmas Market, Westquay and the high street, going to the Saints’ football matches (including on New Year’s Day) and a huge range of other visitor attractions, all as a group. The Southampton Weekend Park & Ride was introduced in September with the PR1 service running every weekend from Adanac Park (SO16 0AZ), just off the M271 Junction 1, to the city centre and a dedicated matchday service, the PR2, carrying Saints supporters to Kingsway, near to St Mary’s Stadium. The PR1 service operates every 20 minutes from 7am to 8.20pm on Saturdays and from 9am to 6.10pm on Sundays. PR2 operates every 20 minutes from 3 hours before kick-off and 2 hours after the match.
