Gosport High St bespoke market returns for the August Bank Holiday
Gosport’s specialist market will come to town on Saturday 29 August from 10am to 4pm, packed with a mixture of stalls, delicious food, unique gifts and crafts, and free family entertainment.
While Gosport’s regular market on Tuesdays and Saturdays continues to provide a weekly shopping destination, these larger specialist markets promise to bring a little extra colour, flavour, and fun to the high street.
The three bespoke market events planned for the High Street this year are:
- Saturday 29 August
- Saturday 3 October
- Saturday 28 November, alongside the Christmas lights switch on event.
Louis Crowe, Director of Quay West Studios who are providing free live music for the event, said: “Quay West have been involved in the Gosport monthly markets for some time now and we feel they are a fantastic asset for the town. We’ve really enjoyed being part of them and seeing the positive impact they have on residents, visitors and local businesses.
“The markets bring so much life, happiness and community spirit to the town centre, and we’re so pleased to be able to continue our involvement and bring some great entertainment to the High Street.”
Councillor Lesley Meenaghan, Deputy Leader of Gosport Borough Council, said: “We’re pleased to confirm that the August Bank Holiday bespoke market will be taking place as planned, with a mixture of stalls, local food and free family entertainment.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors into the town centre for what promises to be a fantastic day.
