Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for drug offences and possession of a bladed article in a public place in Aylesbury. 

Muhammed Hamza, aged 24, of Brunswick Close, Aylesbury, pleaded guilty on 27 August 2026 at Aylesbury Crown Court to:

. Two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled class B drug, namely cannabis and cannabis resin 

. One count of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug, namely cocaine 

. One count of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug, namely cocaine 

. One count of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug, namely cannabis 

. One count of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place 

. One count of the acquire/use/possession of criminal property

At the same hearing, Hamza was sentenced to five years and seven months’ imprisonment. 

On 5 March of this year, Hamza fled from officers following being seen conducting a suspected drug deal.    

Subsequently, a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act search was carried out, during which a small amount of cannabis, £285 in cash was located, as well as two mobile phones were seized. 

Hamza was arrested which a further search was conducted at an address linked to him. This located £1825 in cash, a block of cannabis resin and a further phone was seized which was identified as being a linked to drug lines. 

On 30 May of this year, Hamza was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped and searched. During the search, he was found to be in possession of 2 pots of cannabis, £400 in cash, a Stanley knife and a mobile phone.   

Officers also identified and searched a stash location, where 820g of cannabis bud, 356g of cannabis resin and around 3.45g of cocaine were recovered and seized.   

Hamza was arrested on 30 May 2026 and subsequently charged the following day. 

Investigating officer, PC Gary Ratcliffe of the Aylesbury Neighbourhood Disruption team said: “Muhammed Hamza is a repeat offender and was committing these offences, after being released from custody and whilst on license for supplying drugs.  

“Hamza had no desire for rehabilitation and went straight back to drug dealing upon his early release. 

“Hopefully, the message is clear that the pro-active team will continue to focus on, target and convict offenders for supplying drugs in the Aylesbury area.  

“We will be consistent and work tirelessly to identify, arrest and convict offenders who make a living from selling drugs. Drugs are a problem which affects the whole community and is directly linked to numerous other offences which cause harm to the community. 

“The information from the public around the drug supply offences in Aylesbury plays an important role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation.”
