The bold ambition behind Gosport Borough Council’s new Corporate Strategy.

It sets out the Council’s key priorities to support residents, protect the borough’s unique heritage and create new opportunities for people and businesses.

The new strategy was approved unanimously at Full Council on 14 October. It outlines how the Council will work together to deliver its vision, while providing the services local people and communities rely on over the next two years.

It highlights the essential work that helps ensure local people have the homes and support they need, that keeps Gosport clean and safe, that maintains parks, playgrounds, open spaces and sports facilities and supports businesses and the local economy to grow.

Council Leader Cllr Zoe Huggins said: “At the heart of our strategy is ensuring Gosport is a place where people feel proud to live and work and where communities are celebrated and supported. It’s about protecting and enhancing everything that makes our Borough so special, while attracting investment and creating job and other opportunities for current and future generations.

“It’s right that we hold the highest ambitions for Gosport and its residents, and this strategy sets out how the Council will work together so our Borough can thrive.”
