Wiltshire Council is inviting people from across the county to help shape the future of the new Council Plan, by attending one of the eight engagement events being held this summer.

The events, which begin on Tuesday 12 August in Malmesbury, are part of the council’s consultation on its draft Council Plan 2025-2035, which sets out a bold, community-focused vision for the next decade.

The council is keen to hear from as many people as possible and is encouraging everyone to come along, ask questions, and provide feedback in person. Members of the council’s Cabinet and council officers will be on hand to answer questions and join in the discussion about the Council Plan.

The full list of events is as follows:

  • Tuesday 12 August, 10am-midday, Malmesbury Library, 24 Cross Hayes Lane, Malmesbury SN16 9BG

Cllr Ian Thorn, Leader of Wiltshire Council, said: “We’re holding these events at venues around the county because we want to hear directly from the people we serve.

“Whether you agree with our direction or think we should do things differently, your voice matters.

“If you’re a resident, business owner, community group member, or simply care about Wiltshire’s future, this is your opportunity to get involved. Your feedback will help shape the decisions that affect our county, and I’m looking forward to having meaningful conversations with people from all corners of Wiltshire.”

In addition to the events, people can also complete a short survey to share their thoughts on the draft plan. The survey is available online, and hard copies can be picked up at Wiltshire Council’s main offices in Chippenham, Trowbridge, and Salisbury, as well as at local libraries. The deadline for responses is 2 September 2025. To complete the survey, people should go to: Wiltshire Council Plan 2025-2035

All feedback will be considered before the final version of the Council Plan is presented to Full Council for adoption in October.
