Fareham Borough Council upgrade website for mobile users
Fareham Borough Council has announced today that it has upgraded its website, www.fareham.gov.uk, to make navigation easier and better support mobile devices.
Most residents now use their mobile phones to access information, so the website is now fully optimised for smartphones and tablet devices, to better support this changing behaviour. The changes also include an improved website search engine and dedicated areas for residents and business, to improve navigation for the end-user to find the information they need.
Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Simon Martin, said: “I am delighted to see the upgrades to our Council website, and would like to personally thank our in-house team for working through the complicated process of making them happen, alongside our local digital agency. These enhancements, which went live today, reflect our ongoing commitment to improving access to services and information for everyone in our community.
“The changes not only differentiate the areas of interest for both local businesses and Fareham residents, but also make navigation around the site easier, whether you are working from your computer or your mobile phone.”
