Hampshire and Isle of Wight police officers investigating an indecent exposure incident on Gosport High Street on Saturday 9 August have made an arrest.

They have  been carrying out enquiries and patrols in the area after a 16-year-old girl reported that a man indecently exposed himself to her on the High Street close to Bemister’s Lane shortly after 9pm. She had first spotted the man at the Ferry Gardens a few minutes beforehand. The girl was not hurt and no contact was made.

A 64-year-old man from Gosport has now been arrested on suspicion of exposure as part of our enquiries. He remains in custody at this time.
