Witness appeal after a teenager is stabbed in Brighton

Did you witness a serious altercation in Lavender Street, Brighton on September 13?

At around 5.30pm, it was reported that a 16-year-old boy from Brighton was with friends outside Wiltshire House, on the bench near to the entrance.

A group approached and an altercation has taken place, and the victim sustained a serious stab wound. He attended hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

Police arrested four people in connection with enquiries, three of which have since been charged. One remains on bail at the time of writing.

On September 16, a 15-year-old boy was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Two further boys, aged 16 and 17, were charged with assault.

They cannot be named due to their age.

Following a hearing at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 16, they were all remanded in custody.
