Derry “radical alt-pop” duo BEAUTY SLEEP (aka producer/songwriters Cheylene Murphy and Ryan McGroarty) are pleased to reveal their new single ‘You (You’re All I Wanted)’, set for release on 15th October 2025 via all good digital service providers.

A euphoric cut of layered, dreamy alt-pop that typifies the band’s maximalist approach to the genre whilst retaining their lo-fi sensibilities, the track features shared vocal duties from the duo and an indie-sleaze guitar hook so large and infectious that you could hang several sequined jackets on it.

Commenting on the song, the band’s Cheylene Murphy says: “The song is about failing upwards. A bit of a play on the idea that a past version of you would be proud of where you are, so looking ahead to a mythical future version of yourself that has the life you dreamed of, and trying to take steps to get closer to meeting them.”

The track comes with a theatrical vaudeville-themed official music video, filmed in Halyon Village in Donegal with filmmaker Brogan Wakely (More Pies Production), production designer Zoe Harking and choreographer Emily McDonagh.

“The song is our love letter to failing and not giving up, so naturally we had to do a vaudeville style music video where we fail at being dancers, clowns, magicians and psychics before finding ourselves with music,” says Murphy of the concept. “We had the most wonderful time shooting this. It was directed and edited by ourselves and all of those people are our mad amazing cool creative friends! And the audience members are my cousin/uncle Ruby & Ilhan Cirtma!”

The pair will release their highly-anticipated second album, The Whole Damn Cake, on 17th October 2025 via Alcopop! Records.

Previous singles ‘BIG + BAD’, ‘Radical Happiness’, ‘Unfamiliar’, and ‘Send It To The Sea’ were released earlier this year picking up radio support from RTÉ 2FM, Today FM, and coverage from EARMILK, Hot Press, Joe.ie, Sunday Life, The Irish News, Nialler 9, The Thin Air, Golden Plec, Fresh On The Net, Get In Her Ears and more.

Alongside the single news, the duo have just been announced to support rising pop newcomer Jessica Winter at Dublin’s Academy 2 on 21st October 2025.

The two piece are also delighted to announce several new dates on their November 2025 UK headline dates, with tickets on sale now, including an album release show on 20th November @ Belfast Empire (see below for listings).
