Fareham Borough Council is delighted to announce that the Borough’s parks and open spaces have, once again, received multiple awards in this year’s ‘South and South East In Bloom’ awards.

The South and South East In Bloom campaign is the largest horticultural campaign in the region, involving hundreds of communities each year. The ceremony was held on 21 September at RHS Gardens Wisley, where the Council scooped up the following top awards:

  • Abbey Meadows – Gold
  • Holly Hill – Silver Gilt
  • Sensory Garden – Gold
  • Westbury Manor Garden – Gold
  • Coldeast Conservation Area – Gold
  • Warsash Common – Gold
  • Civic Gardens – Silver Gilt
  • Portchester Common – Gold
  • Portchester Crematorium – Gold and category winner

Executive Member for Streetscene at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Ian Bastable, said: “I am so proud that our parks and open spaces continue to be recognised year on year for these prestigious awards. It is particularly pleasing that the Civic Gardens have been acknowledged with a Silver Gilt award this year, as they always look immaculate. This is testament to all the volunteers, communities and the Council’s grounds maintenance teams, who work throughout the year to keep these parks and open spaces looking beautiful for local people and visitors.”
