Trant Engineering will begin planned improvement works on the Gosport Pontoon from Monday 17 November from 7:00am. The project is scheduled to run for approximately 15 weeks, with completion expected by March 2026.

During this period, a temporary construction site will be established. This will include Heras fencing, a secure 12‑foot site office, and parking for construction vehicles. On occasion additional vehicles will visit the site for the purpose of delivering materials and equipment. Public access to the pontoon will remain open throughout the works. Ferry services will continue as normal, with no disruption anticipated.

To ensure the safety of both the public and engineers, the walkway at Gosport will be narrowed and fitted with protective barriers. These measures will allow the works to proceed safely while maintaining access for passengers.
