Man sentenced to prison for sexual assaults – Wokingham
Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting five women at a Wokingham spa.
Ibrahim Ali, aged 36, of Percy Place, Datchet, was sentenced today (17/11) to a two-year suspended sentence, a 40 day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement order, 350 hours of unpaid work, a 10 year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and £500 in compensation to each of the seven victims, totalling to £3500, at a hearing at Reading Crown Court.
On September 10 this year, Ali pleaded guilty to five counts of sexual assault by touching at Reading Magistrates’ Court.
Between November 2024 and December 2024, Ali was working as a masseur at Nirvana Spa on Mole Road, Sindlesham. He sexually assaulted five women who had booked in for back and foot massages.
Ali was arrested in December 2024, later being charged with four counts of sexual assault in July this year and a further count in September this year.
Following Ali’s charge, two further victims came forward to report being sexually assaulted by him.
Investigating officer PC Chloe Palmer said: “I want to pay tribute to the bravery of the victims in coming forward to report these crimes and for remaining engaged with the police from the start to the end of the investigation.
“We also acknowledge the full cooperation and support of Nirvana spa throughout the investigation which has been vital, and we recognise the impact this has had on their business.
“I hope this result showcases how committed Thames Valley Police is in investigating, supporting and preventing violence against women and girls.
“This case highlights our determination to hold offenders accountable and to protect women and girls from harm.
“By removing perpetrators from our communities, we help prevent further offences and reinforce our commitment to public safety.”
Thames Valley Police take all reports of sexual assault extremely seriously. We encourage anyone who has experienced this to come forward.
