Witness appeal following suspected arson incident in Basingstoke
Hampshire police are appealing for witnesses and information following a suspected arson incident in Basingstoke today.
At approximately 5.30am this morning (20 November), officers were on patrol when they noticed that a car was on fire on Cordale Road.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were already on scene and quickly extinguished the fire.
A man and woman were sleeping inside the vehicle at the time and thankfully no one was injured.
Officers have launched an investigation and would like to hear from witnesses.
