Man sentenced to prison for drug supply offence – Slough
Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a man has been jailed for drug supply and other offences in Slough.
Enes Spahiu, aged 23, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, namely cocaine, in a hearing at Reading Crown Court last Tuesday (18/11).
In the same hearing, he also admitting to using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without insurance, driving a motor vehicle without a licence and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
He was subsequently jailed for one year and ten months and was ordered to forfeit cash.
On 8 September this year, Spahiu was driving a vehicle in Tuns Lane, Slough, when officers stopped him.
Spahiu then gave false details as he did not possess a driving licence or insurance, and during a search of the vehicle, a large quantity of individually wrapped deals of cocaine and a quantity of cash was located.
He was arrested and charged with the offences the following day (9/9).
Investigating officer PC Tom Hughes-Parry, from the Berkshire East Proactive Team, said: “Spahiu decided to give officers false details when he was stopped, and on searching his vehicle, a large quantity of class A drugs were located.
“We do not tolerate drug dealing in our communities and will do all that we can to ensure we remove them from the supply chain and place offenders before the courts.
“Drug dealers often target the most vulnerable people in our communities and we will never tire at tackling such offending.”
