Man sentenced to prison for drug offences – Slough
Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced to prison after he was found with £180,000 worth of drugs in Slough.
Zaim Hysa, aged 41, of Boundary Drive, Slough, was found guilty of one count each of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug, namely cocaine and acquiring/possession of criminal property at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday (26/11).
Hysa was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison at the same hearing.
On 17 September this year, around 12.30pm, Hysa was stopped and searched by officers after reports of drug dealing in the local area. He was found to have 150 wraps of cocaine in his possession.
Following a search of his address, a large quantity of cocaine was found, around 1.8kg, with an estimated street value of £180,000, along with £13,000 in cash.
Investigating officer PC Tom Hughes-Parry said: “Hysa was supplying class A drugs within Slough, showing complete disregard for the harm caused to individuals and the wider community. His actions fuelled addiction and criminality, and he will now have time in prison to reflect on the consequences of his behaviour.
“As a result of this investigation, we have removed a significant quantity of cocaine, valued at around £180,000, and thousands of pounds in criminal cash from circulation.
