Man, 62, charged with two counts of attempted murder in Bursledon
A 62-year-old man from Bursledon has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one of assaulting a person causing them ABH-level injuries.
David James Weir, of Cedar Close, appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court yesterday (Monday 12 January) and was further remanded in custody to appear at the same court later this week.
The charges follow reports of a disturbance and domestic-related assault at an address off Hamble Lane shortly before 3am on Sunday (11 January).
A woman in her 20s from the New Forest was taken to hospital with stab wounds to her chest and arm, while a man in his 20s from Bursledon was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his head and arm.
Their injuries are not currently considered life threatening or life changing. The woman remains in hospital at this time.
A third person, a woman aged in her 50s and from Bursledon, was treated for minor injuries.
