World Cup winners Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan join Southern Brave Men

T20 World Cup winners Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan will link up as both players were signed by Southern Brave in today’s auction.
247 men’s players made the auction longlist as the eight teams built their squads ahead of this year’s competition.
Southern Brave secured leg spin wizard Adil Rashid for £250,000, having featured previously for Northern Superchargers in all five years of The Hundred, with Brave also showing interest in legendary England batter Joe Root.
Death bowling specialist and power-hitting Chris Jordan will remain at Utilita Bowl having been signed for £160,000.
South African batter David Miller was the next to go under Brave’s hammer, for £110,000, having starred for the Proteas, scoring 174 runs and striking at 155 in the latest T20 World Cup.
Left arm pacer and former winner of The Hundred, Luke Wood, joined the Brave ranks for £130,000, and current and former England U19 captains Tom Rew and Ben McKinney were signed for £80,000 and £45,000 respectively.
Swing bowler Dan Worrall was bought for £80,000 having been nominated by Manchester Super Giants, whilst batter Tom Abell was nominated and bought by Southern Brave for his base price of £31,000.
Under 19 World Cup finalist Caleb Falconer and Big Bash winning all-rounder Nikhil Chaudhary rounded off Brave’s auction for £55,000 and £31,000 respectively.

The Hundred begins on Tuesday 21 July when MI London host Sunrisers Leeds before Southern Brave take on local rivals Welsh Fire at Utilita Bowl on Wednesday 22 July.
Further home double headers take place on Monday 27 July against MI London, Thursday 30 July against Birmingham Phoenix, and Saturday 8 August against Manchester Super Giants.
