Delivering Fareham’s Greener Future
Fareham Borough Council has produced an update to its ‘Fareham’s Greener Future’ publication, which sets out the work that has been put into improving Fareham’s lived-in environment since its first publication in March 2024.
Fareham’s Greener Future highlights the Council’s work to preserve and improve Fareham’s environment as well as some of the recent achievements that have been made. Since the last publication of Fareham’s Greener Future, for example, the Council has made significant progress with the implementation of projects designed to reduce the Council’s own carbon emissions, as well as to lower the energy bills of its tenants, support the local wildlife and help the wider Fareham community with education and support.

The publication also outlines, in response to Local Government Reorganisation, how the Council has changed the delivery speed of some of its environmental projects to make sure they are complete or well underway when it is expected to hand over to the new Unitary Authority in April 2028.
Executive Member for Planning and Development, Councillor Malcolm Daniells, said: “Improving our environment is something that Fareham Borough Council takes very seriously, and I am proud of what we have been able to achieve over the last two years. The updated Fareham’s Greener Future publication sets out a full summary of all the recent environmental work undertaken by the Council and I would encourage all residents and businesses within the Borough to learn more about our key successes.”
