We are investigating incidents that occurred in Above Bar Street in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 20 June).

Between 3am and 5am a man reportedly approached a number of women in the area and was seen to behave suspiciously or inappropriately.

The man is described as:

• Black
• 6ft tall
• Medium build
• Wearing a beige jumper with big letters on it, and black jeans

We are keen to hear from anyone who had any kind of interaction with this man, or witnessed his behaviour so we can take details from you.

As part of enquiries, a 37-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, a Section 4B (sex-based) public order offence, and possession of cannabis.

He remains in custody at this time.
