Two men have been charged with raping a woman in Southsea.

Detectives launched an investigation following a report that an 18-year-old woman had been raped by two men she did not know on Wednesday 24 June.

The incident happened between 1am and 3am at an address on Manners Road.

Officers have been carrying out thorough enquiries to establish the full circumstances and have now charged two men in connection with the incident.

Tony Goldsmith, 45, of Gilbert Street in Enfield, has been charged with three counts of rape.

Bobby Watson, 46, of Highbridge Street in Waltham Abbey, Essex, has been charged with three counts of rape.

They have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday 29 June.
