As the new year begins, families considering adoption have a unique opportunity to learn more about the journey ahead. Adopt South, the partnership Regional Adoption Agency for Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton is introducing Adoption Insights Live, a brand-new in person event designed to provide honest answers and real-life stories from adoptive parents.

The event will take place on Saturday, 7 February 2026, at the Holiday Inn, Eastleigh from 9-11.30am, offering a relaxed, welcoming environment with no introductions to other attendees, no name badges, or formalities – just a chance to listen, learn, and ask questions.

The event will include talks on:

· How children are matched with adopters

· What happens when a child comes home

· The support available for families

· Real stories from adopters

Attendees will hear directly from Adopt South’s Family Finding Team and Adoption Support Team, gaining insight into the matching process and the ongoing support available both before and after an Adoption Order. Adoptive parents who have already navigated the process will share their experiences, giving practical insight into what life as a family truly looks like.

There’s absolutely no commitment or introductions to anyone else attending, just the opportunity to learn about what adopted family life looks like in the early days.
