Appeal following incident involving machete in Southampton
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are appealing for witnesses to come forward in relation to an incident involving a machete in Southampton.
At about 2.45pm on Saturday 24 May it was reported a male threatened another male with a machete on Monks Way.
A 15-year-old male from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
He has been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.
We would like to speak to any other witnesses and in particular we would like to identify the person who was threatened so we can take their account.
