Appeal for witnesses and information following assault in Chandlers Ford

Officers investigating an assault in Chandlers Ford are appealing for witnesses and information.

We received a report that between 6:35pm and 6:45pm on Thursday 13 November, a man in his 40s was walking along Falkland Road when he was approached by a man he did not know.

The man kicked and punched him, causing minor injuries.

He has been described as follows:

  • White
  • Aged 20-30
  • Irish accent
  • 5ft 10 inches – 6ft tall
  • Slim build
  • Unshaven facial hair
  • Wearing a hooded jumper, baseball cap and jogging bottoms, all of which were black/dark in colour
  • Also wearing a single strap bag and holding a phone and a can of drink

It was also reported that a van stopped briefly at the scene and officers are keen to speak to the driver, who may have information which could assist officers with their enquiries.
