Arrests after Andover copper cable burglary
Two men have been arrested in connection with a copper cable burglary in Andover.
Officers were patrolling around Woodpecker Way, Andover, when they spotted a hole in the fence of one of the businesses.
Upon entering the site to check no one was inside, they saw people in dark clothing running up towards the train tracks.
After an area search, with assistance from Wiltshire Police and British Transport Police, two men were located nearby.
A 31-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both from Bristol, were arrested on suspicion of burglary. They have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
A vehicle and a quantity of cut copper cables have been seized.
