Boy, 14, arrested as officers investigate burglary and criminal damage at school in Hartley Wintney

Officers investigating reports of a burglary and criminal damage at Greenfields Junior School in Hartley Wintney have made an arrest.

Hampshire police were called to a report that the school had been broken into, and a significant amount of damage had been caused between 4.30am and 9am on 6 August.

Officers launched an investigation and made an arrest yesterday (10 August).

A 14-year-old boy from Hartley Wintney was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal and criminal damage to property – value over £5,000.

He has been bailed with conditions, to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.

Officers are continuing to investigate the incident, and anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting 44250352764.
