Fareham Housing has announced that it is inviting early expressions of interest for its new Later Living development of Social Housing for the over 55s, Assheton Court in Portchester.

This new development of sixty purpose-built, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments for the over 55s is expected to be ready for occupation in late autumn 2026.

Assheton Court will offer:

• High energy efficiency
• Close to local amenities
• Access to support service for those who need it
• A communal lounge and gardens
• Balconies for all apartments
• Lifts in each block
• Buggy store and laundry facilities
• Treatment room

If you are over 55 years old, a Fareham Housing Tenant or would like to find out if you’re eligible for one of these homes, the Fareham Housing Team is encouraging you to get in touch.

Executive Member for Housing at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Fred Birkett, said: “I am incredibly proud of the work done by the Fareham Housing Team, to provide high-quality, older persons social housing across the Borough. Assheton Court is not only going to feature stunning apartments and communal spaces, but will enable tenants aged over 55 to maintain their independence and sense of community and improve their quality of life.
