Have Your Say on Antisocial Behaviour During ASB Awareness Week

Last Updated: June 27, 2025By

Fareham Borough Council is inviting residents to join the conversation on tackling antisocial behaviour (ASB) during Antisocial Behaviour Awareness Week, taking place from 30 June to 4 July. A series of community pop-up events will be held across the Borough, providing residents with the chance to speak directly with Council officers and local police about concerns, share experiences, and learn more about what’s being done to reduce ASB in Fareham.

Over the past year, the Council has introduced a new Anti-Social Behaviour Policy outlining how the Community Safety and Housing Teams respond to and prevent ASB. These upcoming events are part of a wider effort to listen to the community, promote awareness, and demonstrate the Council’s ongoing commitment to making Fareham a safer and more supportive place to live.

🗣️ Hear from Council Leaders

Cllr Joanne Burton, Executive Member for Health and Public Protection, said: I’m pleased that Council officers and our local police teams will be out in the community during ASB Week. These events give residents a chance to talk about what’s affecting them and learn more about how they can report and respond to antisocial behaviour. Working together, we can create stronger, safer communities.

Cllr Fred Birkett, Executive Member for Housing, added: Following feedback from our housing tenants, we’ve updated our approach to ASB and want to keep the conversation going. These pop-ups are a great way for us to hear more voices and ensure our policies reflect the real issues people face. I encourage all residents—especially our tenants—to come along and share their views.
