Information sought following fatal collision in Warlingham
Surrey police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision which occurred in Warlingham in the early hours yesterday (4 August).
Officers were called to Westhall Road around 2.30am following reports of a single vehicle, a grey Honda Civic, colliding with a tree near the junction with the B270.
The 17-year-old male passenger in the vehicle was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
The driver, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road was closed in both directions for several hours while we dealt with the incident.
We are appealing for information to establish the circumstances of the collision and would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who saw the car being driven prior to the collision.
