A man has been arrested after officers located 18 bags of cannabis following a proactive stop in Aldershot yesterday.

Officers were patrolling the town on 19 October when they noticed suspicious activity linked to an Audi A3 on North Lane.

Due to suspicious circumstances at the scene, the car was stopped, and a search was carried out.

Officers located and seized 18 bags of cannabis as well as £330 in cash. The vehicle was also seized because it was not insured.

A 26-year-old man from Manchester was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B and driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

He was bailed with conditions to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
