A man has been jailed for more than two-and-a-half years after he assaulted 10 officers on two separate occasions following incidents in Fleet.

Jamie Drablow, 26, of Wiltshire Road, Wokingham, kicked, punched, bit, and spat at officers while he was detained.

Winchester Crown Court heard that officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle and found Drablow asleep in a VW Golf on The Key, Fleet, in the early hours of Sunday 24 August 2025.

Drablow attempted to flee the scene but was quickly detained. Five officers were kicked or spat at by Drablow.

The court also heard that he had stolen a television, Xbox, alcohol, and internet router from an address on Holt Lane, Hook, on Friday 22 August.

Earlier that year, officers were called to report of an altercation at The Kara restaurant on Fleet Road on Saturday 31 May. We attended the scene and five officers were assaulted – one was kicked while another was racially abused, punched, and bitten.

Drablow was later charged with a number of offences. In relation to the incident in May, he pleaded guilty to:

  • Assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm
  • Assault by beating of an emergency worker x 3
  • Racially / religiously aggravated intentional harassment / alarm / distress – words / writing
  • Common assault of an emergency worker

In relation to the incidents in August, he pleaded guilty to:

  • Burglary dwelling and theft
  • Assault by beating x 4
  • Common assault
  • Drive whilst disqualified
  • Use a vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance
  • Possessing a controlled drug of Class B

Drablow was jailed for a total of 34 months at Winchester Crown Court on Friday 20 February.

Hart Inspector, Lisa Eastlake, said: “No emergency worker should be subjected to violence. It is not, and never will be, part of the job description.

“Our officers are trying to do a job in protecting the communities they serve and keeping people safe in the process. Jamie Drablow’s behaviour was appalling and completely unacceptable.

“The impact on an assaulted officer can be huge and long-lasting, and we will do everything we can to deal with these offences and offenders quickly and robustly.

“I hope this result highlights that this behaviour will not be tolerated in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.”
