Man, 27, jailed for Ringwood assault and shoplifting
A 27-year-old man from Ringwood has been jailed for ten weeks after pleading guilty to assault by beating and shoplifting.
Quincy Rufus Digby Hopkins, of Queens Way, was sentenced when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (25 June).
It follows a theft and assault on a member of staff at Tesco Express, Butlers Lane shortly before 11pm on Sunday (22 June).
As well as the time Hopkins will now spend behind bars, he has also been ordered to pay £125 in compensation.
