Man, 29, arrested after officers find suspected drugs in Farnborough
A man has been arrested after officers located suspected Class A drugs following a proactive stop in Farnborough yesterday.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) noticed suspicious activity linked to a Skoda Rapid on Farnborough Road at around 5.30pm on 16 October.
The vehicle was stopped and due to suspicious circumstances, a search was carried out at the scene.
Officers located £270 in cash and two boxes – which contained suspected cocaine – underneath the front seats. All items were seized.
A drugs wipe was also carried out, which came back as positive for cannabis.
A 29-year-old man from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, was arrested on suspicion of:
- Possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A
- Driving whilst disqualified
- Driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit
He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.
