Man, 29, charged with drugs offence in Basingstoke
A man has been charged with a drugs offence following a proactive stop in Basingstoke.
Officers were patrolling the town when they spotted a silver Mercedes Benz on the A30 near the Hackwood Road Roundabout.
Due to suspicious circumstances, the vehicle was stopped and officers carried out a search. They located and seized 18 bags of suspected Class A drugs and £380 in cash.
Gentjan Ndosha, 29, of Bassett Green Close, Southampton, was charged with possessing with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.
He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance.
Ndosha appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court yesterday (29 September) and was remanded into custody. He is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 29 October.
