Man, 34, pleads guilty to drugs offences following proactive stop in Basingstoke

A man has today pleaded guilty to drugs offences after officers carried out a proactive stop in Basingstoke.

Officers located multiple bags of suspected Class A and Class B drugs after they stopped a Nissan Juke on Hatch Warren Way on Wednesday 3 September.

All items, including the Nissan Juke, were seized.

Ylli Sinaj, 34, of St Mark’s Avenue, Northfleet, Kent, was charged with:

  • Possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A
  • Possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B
  • Driving while disqualified
  • Using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance

He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (5 September) and pleaded guilty to all offences.

He was remanded into custody and is due to be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on 3 October.
