A 38-year-old man from Southampton has been charged with aggravated burglary.
We were called at around 1:30am on Sunday 13 July to reports of a burglary in progress in Shirley.
Officers attended and arrested Stuart Baldock, of Landguard Road Southampton, on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of a knife or sharp pointed article.
He has subsequently been charged with those offences and was remanded in custody to appear at Southampton magistrates court this morning.
