Man jailed for non-recent child sexual assault offences – Slough
Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been jailed for numerous non-recent child sexual offences in Slough.
Raymond Rackley, aged 78, of Pennine Road, Slough, was sentenced to 18 years’ imprisonment at Reading Crown Court last Wednesday (10/12).
Following a seven-day trial at the same court, Rackley was found guilty by a unanimous jury for three counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child.
Rackley sexually abused the victim multiple times in the 1990s, when the victim was a child.
Rackley undertook a voluntary interview on 9 March 2023 and charged on 3 December 2024.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Teranjeet Finn said: “I would like to commend the victim for his bravery in this investigation. His courage has allowed him to report this and speak out.
“I hope that Raymond Rackley’s sentence gives him a sense of justice for what he did to the victim as a child.
