Man sentenced for drug offences – Slough

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for drug offences in Slough.  

Ramin Ibrahim (pictured below), aged 33, of Sterling Close, Windsor was sentenced to three years imprisonment on Tuesday 24 March at Reading Crown Court. 

After a 3-day trial at the same court, Ibrahim was found guilty by the jury of one count each of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug, namely MDMA, possession of a controlled class B drug, namely Cannabis and acquire/use/possession of criminal property. 

He was not found guilty of one count of possession with intent to supply a controlled class A drug, namely Cocaine. 

At around 5.10pm on 7 December 2022, the Slough East Neighbourhood officers were on patrol and stopped a red Mercedes Benz on Langley Road. The one occupant driving the vehicle was detained for a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act. 

Following a search of the vehicle, officers located a large white linen bag in the centre console containing three bundles of £20 notes totalling £13,600. A further £1,600 in cash was found inside an envelope in the glove box, bringing the total amount seized to £15,200. 

A tube labelled ‘cannabois’ and a baseball bat were also found in the vehicle. 

During a strip search at police custody, the following were found: 

. 49 blue MDMA tablets with a Porsche logo embossed on them within a grip seal plastic bag with a street value of around £490. 

. A kinder egg containing 3 plastic wraps with a street value of £90 

. 0.411g of cocaine within a plastic wrap with a street value of £40 

Ibrahim was arrested on the same day and subsequently charged on 4 April 2024. 

Investigating officer PC Joshua Bennett of the Neighbourhood Slough Proactive team said: “Drug dealing brings harm and exploitation to our communities, and we will continue to take robust action against those involved. 

“This outcome reflects the hard work of our officers in disrupting the supply of harmful substances in Slough. 

“The information we receive from the public around drug supply offences in Reading plays an important role in helping us to develop intelligence into a proactive investigation.”
