New Wayfinding Signage enhances visitor experience in Trowbridge town centre
Visitors to Trowbridge town centre will now benefit from improved navigation thanks to the installation of new wayfinding signage, part of the wider public realm enhancements funded by the £16 million investment from the Future High Streets Fund.
The new signage includes modern totems and fingerposts, designed to help residents and visitors easily find key destinations and amenities throughout the town centre.
Cllr Ian Thorn, Leader of Wiltshire Council, said: “The new wayfinding signage complements the large bench planters, benches and bins already installed across the town centre and align with the improvements made to key routes into the town. These improvements are helping to make Trowbridge a more welcoming and accessible place for everyone.”
The Future High Streets Fund project is supporting a range of transformative projects in Trowbridge, including a focus on improving connections into the town centre; bringing vacant commercial units in the town centre back into use; refurbishing the Town Hall; enhancing the River Biss; and accelerating the development of key sites in the town centre.
Cllr Thorn added: “These projects are designed to attract more visitors and businesses to the heart of Trowbridge, boosting the local economy and helping to protect and create local jobs.”
