News Appeal following serious collision in Southampton
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a collision in Southampton.
Police were called at 11pm on Friday 18 July to a report of a collision on Wimpson Lane.
This involved a cyclist and a driver of a green Ford Ranger who did not stop at the scene.
The cyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.
A 27-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and for failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
He has been released on bail until 19 October.
We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision, or either party involved in the moments leading up to the collision.
In particular we would like anyone with relevant dash cam footage to come forward.
