Officers are appealing for a key witness to come forward following an assault in Southampton.

Just after 12.30am during the early hours of Sunday, December 21 a man was assaulted on Oxford Street. No serious injuries were reported.

While officers were in attendance, they were approached by a man who stated he had information about the incident. Unfortunately, the witness had left before officers, who were dealing with the situation, were able to take his details.

The man pictured is being treated as a witness, and we would like to speak to him about what he saw.
