Relocation of your local Reading Police Station
Thames Valley Police is relocating its Reading Police Station from Castle Street, Reading to a new facility at Atlantic House, Imperial Way, Reading RG2 0TD. This move marks a significant step in modernising the force’s infrastructure to ensure we can continue to deliver an excellent service for our communities.
The front counter at Castle Street will remain open to the public until Tuesday 26 November 2025. From Wednesday 27 November 2025 all public enquiries and appointments will be handled at the new location at Atlantic House.
Parking is available on-site at Atlantic House, including designated disabled spaces, however, availability is limited. Visitors can find additional parking nearby but are advised to observe local restrictions and any applicable charges.
Atlantic House is well served by public transport, with several bus routes operating from Reading town centre. These include the 600 Park and Ride, the 6 Emerald, and the 50 Greenwave services. The Mereoak Park & Ride also stops on Imperial Way, providing further access options.

Superintendent Colin Hudson, operational commander for the relocation of Reading Station, said:
“It is a real privilege to lead the work that has gone into the relocation of Reading Police Station. Castle Street has been a main operating base for nearly half a century, and this move reflects the force’s commitment to investing in community policing and has involved a range of departments working together to complete this major project.
“We look forward to welcoming the public to the new location and continuing to provide high-quality service to the communities of West Berkshire.
