Renewed CCTV appeal following attempted murder in Sarisbury Green
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary releasing an image of two teenagers we would like to speak to following an attempted murder that took place in Sarisbury Green early on Thursday 29 May.
We were called shortly after 03:00am following a collision on Montefiore Drive involving a pedestrian and dark coloured car, which we now believe was an Audi, that did not stop at the scene.
A 38-year-old man was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where he remains, for treatment to serious, potentially life changing, injuries. His condition continues to be described as stable.
Our investigation is ongoing and we are now trying to identify the two teenagers shown in the attached image who were seen at the BP Garage at Park Gate at 01:45am and who may have been in the area at the time of the collision.
They are described as:
- White.
- One has blonde hair that is longer at the front and shorter at the sides, the other has brown hair.
- Both were wearing dark jackets and dark trousers.
Separately detectives have arrested two 18-year-old men from Fareham and Hamble on suspicion of attempted murder, causing injury through dangerous driving, vehicle interference, and failing to stop following a collision. They remain in custody at this time.
Officers are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and we are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have doorbell or dashcam footage that can assist us. Additionally if you think you have been a victim of vehicle crime in the area please contact us.
Anyone who believes that they may have seen the car or two people acting suspiciously in the area should call 101 quoting 44250233585 or submit information via our website: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
