Results declared in Wiltshire Council Unitary Election

The results of the Wiltshire Council Unitary election held on 1 May 2025 have been declared and can be found on the Wiltshire Council website.

Wiltshire has 98 Unitary Divisions, each with one seat which means there are 98 Unitary councillors in total. The number of councillors elected for each party or group is as follows:

The result means no party is in overall control of Wiltshire Council.

The turnout for Wiltshire was 36.19%.

Lucy Townsend, Returning Officer for Wiltshire and Wiltshire Council Chief Executive said: “Congratulations to all those elected to serve on Wiltshire Council for the next four years, I wish them well.

“I’d like to thank my team and everyone who has supported the smooth running of this election. It’s been a huge undertaking, but everyone has worked incredibly hard with enthusiasm, a great attitude, and a sense of humour.

“Over the coming days elected councillors from the political parties and groups will be meeting to discuss how the council will operate going forward. The council’s senior team and myself will provide professional advice and guidance as required and await the outcome of these discussions and look forward to working with those elected.”
