Royal Navy & Weapons Down Gloves up to fight knife crime on Merseyside Pictured: Participants at Two Brothers Muay Tai gym The Royal Navy and Royal Marines have launched a new initiative to help fight against violent crime and gang culture. They are delivering events at combat sports gyms across the north of England, to develop close engagement with communities. They are using combat sports to break down barriers, at the events they act as the hook to young people, making them more open to engagement with the Police and authorities. Service coaches will deliver combat sports training to civilians in deprived areas, The lord Lieutenant, Lord Mayor, Police and anti-knife crime groups will also attend.
