Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of racial abuse towards a 28-year-old man in Southampton.
The incident occurred between 1pm and 1.15pm on Wednesday (9 July) at the junction of East Street with High Street/Above Bar. The victim was approached by a man who shouted racist remarks and threats. The incident was unprovoked and occurred in a busy pedestrian area, where several people may have seen or heard what happened.
