Witness appeal following burglary report in Basingstoke

Hampshire and Isle of Wight police are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a burglary in Basingstoke.

It was reported that a blue VW Polo had been involved in a single-vehicle collision on Oakridge Road at around 4.30am on 11 August. The driver then fled the area.

Officers attended the scene, and it later transpired that the vehicle had been taken from an address on Maple Crescent.

Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out various enquiries and would like witnesses to come forward.

Were you in the Maple Crescent, Scotney Road, Upton Crescent or Oakridge Road areas in the early hours of Monday?

Did you witness any suspicious behaviour? Do you have any doorbell, dashcam or CCTV images which could help our enquiries?
