Witness appeal in Southsea assault investigation
Officers investigating an assault in Southsea are appealing for witnesses.
At around 7.20pm on Saturday 3 May the victim, a man in his 30s, was chased by another man armed with an extendable baton on Albert Road.
It was also reported that he tried to throw acid at him.
As part of our investigation, a 33-year-old man from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent. He has been released on police bail.
We have conducted a number of enquiries and are now asking for anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.
