A drug dealer has been jailed for more than six years for supplying heroin and crack cocaine in Basingstoke.

Rrahim Statovci, 23, of Mill Street, Slough, ran the drugs operation that supplied Class A drugs to users in the town between July 2025 and January 2026.

He was arrested after officers from the Northern Area Crime Team launched an investigation and discovered a drug line had been operating between Slough and Basingstoke under the name ‘Rico’.

Following various enquiries, officers seized up to £15,000 worth of crack cocaine and heroin and £3,300 in cash while Statovci was the line holder.

He was detained in March this year and was later charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.

Statovci pleaded guilty to both offences and was jailed for a total of six years and four months at Winchester Crown Court on Thursday 30 July.

Police Staff Investigator Michael Longmore, from the Northern Area Crime Team, said: “I hope this sentence highlights that we will do everything we can to ensure Basingstoke and the surrounding areas are not targeted by drugs networks.

“The supply of drugs, particularly Class A drugs, is a significant cause of harm within our communities.

“As well as the damage it can cause to the person taking them, the production and supply of drugs can lead to serious violence, and the exploitation of vulnerable adults and children.

“We are determined to keep relentlessly pursuing criminals to reduce the negative impact they have on the local community, making it safe for everyone.”
