The family of a woman who was a ‘much-loved daughter and adored mother’ have paid tribute to her following her death in Bolton on Tuesday 4 August 2026.

Emma McGowan, 39, was pronounced dead on Tuesday 4 August 2026 after officers responded to an incident at an address on Yewdale Avenue, Bolton.

Her death is now subject to a murder investigation. A 36-year-old man has been charged and is in custody.

Paying tribute, a family spokesperson said: “A much-loved daughter and adored mother to 4 young children. Our hearts are broken and we will miss you forever.”
