Market, music and more at The Malls this festive season
Shoppers at The Malls can look forward to a programme of Christmas-themed activities running this festive period.
From Friday 14 November until Sunday 4 January 2026, a festive market will be open daily between 10am and 6pm offering seasonal gifts and treats.
Live choir performances will take place around the Christmas tree, bringing music and community spirit to the shopping centre. Performances include:
- Friday 5 December at 11.30am: Marnel Junior School
- Wednesday 10 December at 10.30am: Winklebury Junior School
- Saturday 13 December at 11am: Basingstoke Choral Society and Band
- Tuesday 16 December at 11.15am: The Vyne School
On Tuesday 23 December, visitors can meet Rabbit and Bear in ‘Stocking Up’, a walkabout act featuring two animated toys in giant Christmas stockings. Appearing at 11.30am, 1.15pm and 3pm, these characters will roam the centre, chatting with visitors and spreading Christmas cheer.
The Starlight Stilt Walkers, dressed in glowing white costumes, will also glide through the centre with performances at 3pm, 4.15pm and 5.30pm on Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24 December).
The Malls’ Centre Manager Lisa Evans said: “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to The Malls this Christmas. From live music, market stalls and magical performances, there’s plenty for everyone to get into the festive spirit.
“Shoppers can find everything they need to plan and enjoy their visit on the website at www.TheMalls.co.uk.”
